IRVING, Texas – The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) has announced a record-setting class of 2,514 college football players named to the 2025 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, and Shenandoah University proudly stands among the nation's academic elite with 13 honorees.

Shenandoah is one of only 44 Division III institutions — and 97 schools nationwide across all divisions — to have 10 or more student-athletes recognized in this year's prestigious group. The Hornets' honorees are:

These 13 Hornets represent the university's continued commitment to academic and athletic excellence. Each honoree met the Society's stringent criteria, including a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA, serving as a significant contributor on the field during the 2024 season, and either completing their final season of eligibility or already earning their undergraduate degree.

This year's record-setting class includes athletes from 339 colleges and universities across the NCAA, NAIA, and sprint football, further proving that academic success continues to thrive in college athletics — even amid the challenges of a changing landscape.

In an era marked by the transfer portal and NIL, it's important to remember that student-athletes can — and do — still achieve highly in the classroom, said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. This year's class is a testament to that commitment, and we're proud to recognize the student-athletes, like those from Shenandoah, who are setting the standard.

Since the Hampshire Honor Society's founding in 2007, more than 20,900 student-athletes have been recognized for their excellence. Shenandoah's representation in this milestone year stands as a symbol of the university's emphasis on developing leaders in both academics and athletics.
