FOREST, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team earned two All-ODAC honors, with Dominick Suwak being named Player of the Year and First Team All-ODAC, in selections announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. Jovan Cirkovic was also tabbed with second-team honors for singles.

Suwak, the first-ever Player of the Year for the program, went a perfect 8-0 in conference play, and had an overall record of 20-4. The junior's dominant performance helped him get regionally and nationally ranked during the season. Suwak was ranked as high as eighth in the region and as high as 48th in the nation, becoming the first Hornet to do so.

Of his 20 wins, 13 came in straight sets, including two 6-0, 6-0 wins. In doubles, Suwak earned 13 wins, including six with Artem Babaiev and Keith Orr as the Hornets' top doubles pairing.

Cirkovic, a graduate student, went 5-1 in league play, primarily playing at the No. 3 spot for singles. The Belgrade, Serbia native wrapped up his regular season with three consecutive wins in ODAC play and picked up a three-set victory that helped send the Hornets to the semifinals of the conference tournament.

Over the past three years as a Hornet, Cirkovic has won 35 single matches, including 15 against conference foes. This is the second all-conference accolade for the graduate student.

The duo helped the Hornets become nationally ranked for the first time in program history by the ITA.
