Men's Tennis Defeated by No. 23 Washington and Lee in Conference Tournament

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 1 Washington and Lee University on the road on Saturday in the ODAC semifinals, concluding their 2024-25 season.

The Generals (15-6) clinched the win over the Hornets (12-6) with wins at singles courts two, three, and four, while also winning the team point for doubles.

In singles action, Washington and Lee quickly picked up points at the No. 3 and No. 2 spots.. Artem Babaiev battled hard at No. 4, winning the first set 6-3 before falling 2-6, 3-6 in the final two sets. The remaining matches at No. 1, No. 5, and No. 6 singles were unfinished when the match was clinched. 

Despite the loss, Shenandoah concludes a successful season, finishing with a 12-6 record and its first national ranking in program history. Additionally, Dominick Suwak became the highest regionally ranked player all-time for the program.
