Hornets Excel in the Classroom with 3.38 Department GPA

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics posted a 3.38 GPA for the Spring 2025 semester, surpassing the department's 3.30 GPA from the Fall.

Of the 20 teams*, 19 earned at least a 3.0 GPA this term. Field hockey led the way with a 3.84, followed by women's cross country and women's basketball with GPAs of 3.75 and 3.72, respectively.

On the men's side, cross country recorded the highest GPA at 3.59. Baseball, lacrosse, tennis, and track & field each earned a 3.38.

Across the department, 86 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, while 272 earned Dean's List honors with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Field hockey led all programs with 13 student-athletes earning a 4.0, while baseball followed closely with 11.

*Indoor and outdoor track and field are counted as one team.
