Shenandoah Athletics Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2026

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2026, featuring five inductees across six different sports. This year's class will be enshrined on January 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferrari Room of the Brandt Student Center on SU's main campus.

Hayden Bauserman – Football, Class of 2019
Bauserman, the Hornets quarterback from 2015-18, holds program career records for passing yards (12,478), passing touchdowns (132), completed passes (1,093), and passing yards per game (311.9). He also set the ODAC career passing touchdowns record while establishing multiple single-season marks.

In 2018, Bauserman was named ODAC J. Stokeley Fulton Offensive Player of the Year, VaSID State Player of the Year, and received the Lanier Award as the top NCAA Division II/III/NAIA player in Virginia. Over his career, he was a three-time First Team All-ODAC honoree, a five-time ODAC Player of the Week, and a two-time D3football.com All-Region selection.

Lauren Carpinello – Women's Lacrosse & Women's Soccer, Class of 2008
Carpinello, a dual-sport athlete from 2004-08, starred as a defender in both soccer and lacrosse.

In women's soccer, she earned Second Team All-USA South honors as a rookie, followed by three straight First Team selections. She was also a two-time VaSID All-State honoree and twice named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III.

On the lacrosse field, Carpinello holds program records for ground balls (282) and caused turnovers (121). The four-year starter helped the Hornets capture the 2005 USA South Championship and earned three First Team All-USA South nods plus VaSID All-State honors.

Brooke Over – Softball, Class of 2012
Over, a pitcher, tops the SU record book in strikeouts (665), wins (58), shutouts (20), and opponent batting average (.206). She tossed 601 career innings, including four solo no-hitters.

In 2009, she was named USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Year and went on to earn All-USA South honors in each of the following three seasons. Over helped lead SU to the 2011 USA South Championship, where she was named tournament MVP, and that same year garnered All-State and All-Region recognition.

Scott Van Dusseldorp – Baseball, Class of 2010
Van Dusseldorp became the first SU baseball player to earn conference player of the year, claiming the 2010 USA South Player of the Year honor. A key member of the 2009 and 2010 squads that advanced to the Division III National Championship series, he was also part of the 2009 team inducted into the Hall of Fame last year.

He broke program career records for games played (166), games started (163), and home runs (29), while still ranking top-10 in each. Van Dusseldorp also remains in the program's top-10 all-time in OPS, RBI, total bases, walks, and slugging percentage.

Shamyra Wilkerson – Track & Field, Class of 2019, 2022
Wilkerson became SU's first-ever indoor track and field All-American in 2019, finishing eighth in the 200m at the NCAA Indoor Championships. That same year, she was the University's nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year.

A three-time ODAC individual champion (one indoor, two outdoor), Wilkerson earned eight All-ODAC honors and two All-Region awards. She holds school records in the outdoor 100m (12.15), outdoor 200m (24.66), and indoor 60m (7.74).
