AUSTIN, Tx. – Shenandoah University men's lacrosse standout Mark Isabelle has added another prestigious honor to his resume, being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® At-Large Second Team, as announced Wednesday afternoon.

Isabelle, who maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout both his undergraduate and graduate studies at Shenandoah, becomes the 29th student-athlete in Hornets history to earn Academic All-America recognition. He is the fourth Hornet honored this year, joining football's Steven Hugney, and David Munoz, and field hockey's Farren Winter. Isabelle is also the first Shenandoah men's lacrosse player to receive this honor since Theodore Rogers earned back-to-back Academic All-America awards in 2007 and 2008.

The accolade caps a historic career for Isabelle, who earlier this spring was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Honorable Mention All-American — the first in program history. He was also selected to the All-ODAC First Team, becoming the first Hornets goalie to earn that distinction since Ben Judy in 2017 and just the fifth all-time.

Isabelle wrapped up his playing career with a program- and ODAC-record 1,070 saves, including 262 during his final season — also a program single-season best. He posted a career .546 save percentage and 11.79 goals against average over more than 4,500 minutes between the pipes. Nationally, his 1,070 career saves rank sixth all-time in NCAA Division III and seventh across all NCAA divisions.
