LEXINGTON, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team lost 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at No. 16 Washington and Lee University in ODAC play.

The Generals (6-2-1, 2-0-0 ODAC) trailed 1-0 with less than 30 minutes left in the game, but came back with two goals in 10 minutes to take down the Hornets' (2-5-3, 1-1-0) upset bid.

IN BRIEF

After a scoreless first half, which saw Morgan Musselman make four saves for Shenandoah, the Hornets broke through and took a 1-0 lead in the 56th minute with Ellie Ajello's first goal of the season. Sophomore McKenna Newcome earned the assist on the goal.

In the 64th minute, after a Hornets yellow card, the Generals scored to tie the contest before adding the game-winner in the 74th minute. After WLU took the lead, the Hornets' offense was only held to one shot, which missed the cage.
