Rodriguez and King-Miller Lead Men's Soccer to Win Over EMU

HARRISONBURG, Va. - Two goals from Jarbin Rodriguez helped the Shenandoah University men's soccer team to a 2-0 road ODAC win at Eastern Mennonite University on Wednesday night.

The Hornets (7-3-5, 4-1-2 ODAC) posted their program-tying record ninth clean sheet of the season behind five saves from Aidan King-Miller in the midweek victory over the Royals (4-11-1, 1-6-0).

RECAP

For the second time in as many games, Jarbin Rodriguez opened the scoring for the Hornets less than three minutes into the game.

Aidan King-Miller made three crucial saves in the opening 45 minutes to keep the Hornets out in front 1-0 at the break.

As the second half got started, the Royals had the first shot of the half, but in the 59th minute SU earned a penalty kick. Rodriguez was the one to draw the foul in the box, and it was his foot the Hornets' coaching staff went to for the kick. The senior took full advantage of the opportunity and buried his team-leading seventh goal of the season.

All seven wins for the Hornets this season have come with a clean sheet attached to the game. Dating back to September 2025, the last 10 wins for SU have all been shutouts. Additionally, the Hornets are 6-0-3 in the last nine meetings with the Royals after going 0-6-1 against them when first joining the ODAC back in 2012.

Shenandoah currently sits in third in the ODAC standings with 14 points, with two games left on the schedule. The Hornets sit one point behind the University of Lynchburg and Bridgewater College, while being one point ahead of Randolph-Macon College. Six points currently separate the top eight teams in the conference standings.
