BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's soccer team clinched the third seed in the 2026 ODAC Tournament with a 1-0 conference win at Bridgewater College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Hornets (8-3-6, 5-1-3 ODAC) scored in the 13th minute and kept the Eagles' (10-4-3, 5-1-3) offense quiet to hand the home team its first ODAC loss of the season.
RECAP
Jarbin Rodriguez had two shots on target in the first ten minutes of the game but was unable to find the back of the net. However, the senior drew a penalty kick minutes later and scored to make it 1-0. Rodriguez has now scored in four straight games, with at least one penalty kick goal in those four games as well.
Following SU's penalty kick, the Eagles earned one of their own. Goalkeeper Aidan King-Miller stepped up for the Hornets and made the save on the penalty, keeping SU up 1-0. King-Miller finished the game with two saves, leading to the team's tenth clean sheet of the season, setting a program record.
The Hornets finish the regular season with 18 points in the ODAC standings, tying with Bridgwater and Washington and Lee University. The tiebreaker came down to the league's five-point tiebreaker. With results over common ODAC opponents, Bridgewater was awarded the two seed, Shenandoah the three seed, and Washington and Lee the four.
