Men's Soccer Ties Tigers, 2-2

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's soccer team took to the road on Saturday and tied Hampden-Sydney College 2-2 in an ODAC match.

The Hornets (3-2-5, 0-0-2 ODAC) scored a go-ahead goal in the 71st minute, only for the Tigers (7-1-2, 1-1-1) to tie the game eight minutes later.

RECAP

Hampden-Sydney had the first two shots of the game, with its second shot finding the back of the net for the first goal of the contest. Just over five minutes later, Shenandoah found the equalizer with Aidan Browne scoring off an assist from Grant Otto. Browne's goal was the last shot on target in the first half for either team.

Both teams came up with stops in the first three minutes of the second half to keep the contest locked at 1-1.

Midway through the second half, Jarbin Rodriguez found his team-high third assist of the season as Otto got back in the scorebook with a goal of his own in the 71st minute. 

Hampden-Sydney scored in the 79th minute to tie the game at two. SU's Aidan King-Miller made a save in net during the final seconds to keep the game tied at the final horn. King-Miller ended the afternoon with three saves.
