Women's Basketball Clinches Four Seed in Conference Tournament with Win

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's basketball team clinched the four seed in the 2026 ODAC Tournament with a 53-38 win at Randolph College on Saturday night in the team's regular season finale.

The Hornets (19-6, 11-5 ODAC) are now set to host the fifth-seeded Guilford College Quakers on Wednesday evening after the win over the WildCats (9-16, 3-13)

RECAP

Addisyn Banks scored eight of the Hornets' first 12 points, with Mya Martin then chipping in a jumper to give SU a 14-5 lead in the first. Martin's jumper with 2:50 left in the first was the last field goal that SU made in the opening quarter, as the WildCats went on a 7-1 run to only trail by three.

Shenandoah scored the first eight points of the second quarter to get its lead up to double digits, with Banks adding six points during the stretch. The Hornets scored 19 points in the second quarter, with Banks and Emily Williams scoring 16 of those points, with Taylor Moran adding a three-pointer.

Randolph held the Hornets to no points for the first four minutes of the third, which helped the home team cut its deficit down to seven. The hornets ended the third on a 10-3 run to lead 44-30.

Brynna Nesselrodt and Moran each knocked down a three-pointer in the fourth to help the Hornets hang on to their double-digit lead.

Banks led all scorers with 19 points, while Williams had a double-double. Banks also recorded all five of SU's steals in the game.
