What made you become an Athletic Trainer?
"I became an athletic trainer because my athletic trainer in high school was the best, and I loved learning from him. I took both of his sports medicine classes and had the opportunity to gain volunteer experience helping out after school. I really enjoyed that time, and athletic training was the perfect way for me to have a career in both healthcare and athletics."

Why Shenandoah?
"I chose Shenandoah because of the close-knit community and welcoming environment among the staff. As a new graduate, I wanted a place where I felt supported and trusted, and SU assured me of that. I knew this was the perfect place that would not only challenge me but also help me grow as a clinician."

Favorite Memory at SU
"I've made so many memories already at SU, but some fun ones have been singing karaoke in the athletic training clinic, traveling to postseason games, and being a preceptor to MSAT students this year. My favorite memories will always be seeing student-athletes return from injury and excel in their sport."

As Shenandoah Athletics celebrates National Athletic Training Month, the department recognizes the dedication, compassion, and behind-the-scenes impact of its Sports Medicine staff. Athletic trainers play a vital role in supporting student-athletes through prevention, recovery, and performance, helping them compete safely while providing care both on and off the field. Throughout the month of March, Shenandoah University Athletics will continue highlighting the individuals who work tirelessly to keep Hornet student-athletes healthy and ready to compete.
