What made you become an Athletic Trainer?
"When I was in high school, I volunteered to help my athletic trainer with wrestling and football after experiencing my first significant injury my freshman year. Going through the rehabilitation and return-to-play process myself, and then helping others in even the smallest ways as they worked to return to their sport, sparked my interest in athletic training."

Why Shenandoah?
"As soon as I came on campus for the first time, I felt welcomed and supported, and like I could truly be myself. Shoutout to our athletic training staff for continuing to make our clinic a safe space for everyone!"

Favorite Memory at SU
"Having the opportunity to support field hockey in winning the ODAC Championship in 2024, as well as hosting and traveling with them for the NCAA Championships, was an amazing experience. Watching several student-athletes come back from season-ending injuries has also been incredibly rewarding—from hitting grand slams to wrestling one more match, it makes me proud to see how far they have come."

As Shenandoah Athletics celebrates National Athletic Training Month, the department recognizes the dedication, compassion, and behind-the-scenes impact of its Sports Medicine staff. Athletic trainers play a vital role in supporting student-athletes through prevention, recovery, and performance, helping them compete safely while providing care both on and off the field. Throughout the month of March, Shenandoah University Athletics will continue highlighting the individuals who work tirelessly to keep Hornet student-athletes healthy and ready to compete.
