What made you become an Athletic Trainer?
"Coming from a small town in southwest VA that didn't have a full time AT made me realize how big of an impact one human can make. Watching John Hunt be that human in my community made be realize exactly what I wanted to do."

Why Shenandoah?
"Returning to Shenandoah as an alum was a natural choice for me. This place has been 'home' for a long time, proving that it's the people who make a community truly special. I feel incredibly fortunate to be in a position where I can pour back into the same community that invested so much in me when I was a student-athlete"

Favorite Memory at SU
"Honestly, I can't just choose one:
1. ALL the BEST memories with the BEST AT staff - couldn't ask for better coworkers & friends
2. Getting to watch the student-athletes work through some of their toughest moments and then watching them get back on the field/court again
3. Becoming a preceptor and getting to be a part of the journey for future athletic trainers
4. But if you make me choose just 1 - just being a part of the student-athlete's story here at SU, watching them grow from their freshmen year to watching them walk across the stage and accomplishing their educational and athletic goals - these individuals work so hard day in and day out and I am just so proud of each and every one of them."

As Shenandoah Athletics celebrates National Athletic Training Month, the department recognizes the dedication, compassion, and behind-the-scenes impact of its Sports Medicine staff. Athletic trainers play a vital role in supporting student-athletes through prevention, recovery, and performance, helping them compete safely while providing care both on and off the field. Throughout the month of March, Shenandoah University Athletics will continue highlighting the individuals who work tirelessly to keep Hornet student-athletes healthy and ready to compete.
