Men's Tennis Sweeps ODAC Weekly Awards

FOREST, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team swept this week's ODAC Player of the Week awards as Dominick Suwak earned the league's Singles Player of the Week along with Doubles Team of the Week with his pairing with Aryanth Chintharlapalli.

Suwak has now earned ODAC Singles Player of the Week four times this season. Suwak helped the Hornets go 4-0 this week in Myrtle Beach. Suwak won all four of his singles matches in the top spot.

His week started off with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Payne Smith from Hardin-Simmons. He followed it up with victories against the University of Rochester's H. Liu and versus Felipe Moraes from Lake Forest College. Suwak's week in singles action concluded with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Jake Chapman from Berry College. Suwak's win against Liu clinched the team's 4-3 win.

Suwak and Chintharlapalli went 4-0 in doubles action during the Hornets' spring break trip. The duo played at the No. 3 spot in doubles and won 6-4, 6-2, 6-3, and 6-1 in the four Shenandoah matches. This week was the first time the duo had been paired together this season for the Hornets.

The Hornets start ODAC play this week with a Friday afternoon match at Randolph-Macon College.
