Men's Tennis Blanks Cowboys

Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team blanked Hardin-Simmons University on Sunday, 4-0.

The day started with two wins in doubles, to give the Hornets (2-3) the team point. Artem Babaiev and Neal Love won on court one, 7-5. Dominick Suwak teamed with Aryanth Chintharlapalli for a 6-4 win at doubles No. 3.

Suwak, playing at the top singles spot, downed the Cowboys' (5-3) top singles player with a 6-3, 6-4 victory in straight sets. Shine Tokaas earned the final straight-set win of the day for SU, with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2.

Lucas Beasley rounded out the day with a 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) win at No. 3 singles to secure the win for Shenandoah.

UP NEXT

The Hornets play the University of Rochester tomorrow at 5 p.m.
