GREENSBORO, NC. — Shenandoah Men's Tennis wrapped up its 2025-26 campaign with a dominant 6-1 team victory at Guilford on Sunday. The Hornets (12-5, 6-2) accumulated 12 wins on the year for the fourth consecutive season, where they have also downed the Quakers (2-16, 2-8) four straight seasons as well.
DOUBLES RESULTS
The Hornets claimed the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3. At #1,
Artem Babaiev and
Neal Love lost a tight 3-6 match to Mercedes/Oye of Guilford.
The pairings of
Shine Tokas/
Lucas Beasley and
Dominick Suwak/
Aryanth Chintharlapalli took big wins at 2 and 3. Tokas and Beasley would win 6-2, while Suwak and Chintharlapalli won 6-1.
SINGLES RESULTS
All six singles athletes for the Hornets played up a spot from their usual placements today, as
Dominick Suwak took a break from action.
Shine Tokas played up to #1 today, falling to Quaker ace Andres Mercedes, 3-6, 2-6, resulting in the lone point for Guilford.
Lucas Beasley went back and forth at #2, but came out victorious over Emmanuel Oye (GC), 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).
Artem Babaiev played a solid match at #3, defeating George Hardie (GC), 6-3, 6-2.
Siddharrth Rajagopalan also played a good contest at #4 with a win over Alex Broan (GC), 6-4, 6-1.
Max Arkans' match at #5 was short-lived, as after winning set 1 6-0, Turner Johnson (GC) retired.
Neal Love returned to singles competition at #6 today and swept his opponent, Christopher Kelley (GC), 6-0, 6-0.
UP NEXT
The Hornets await the conclusion of the remainder of the ODAC regular season before competing in the ODAC Quarterfinals, scheduled for Tuesday, April 28th.
