Women's Lacrosse Earns Two All-Region Awards

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - The Shenandoah University women's lacrosse team had two players named to the 2026 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III All-Chesapeake Region Second Team on Friday.

Attacker Ayla Jantz and defender Talia Maria represent the Hornets on this year's All-Region team, with Maria earning her second straight IWLCA All-Region accolade.

Jantz, a sophomore, was second on the team in goals and points with 49 and 59, respectively. She played in all 20 games for SU, making 10 starts. The attacker scored in 17 of her 20 games, with a season-high six goals versus Virginia Wesleyan back in March. Additionally, Jantz recorded 49 draw controls, 18 groundballs, and eight caused turnovers.

Maria led the team in draw controls with 53, while also having the team-high in caused turnovers with 23. The defender also picked up 26 groundballs throughout the year. The junior started in all 20 games for the Hornets, now making a start in all 60 career games.
