Women's Lacrosse Adds Ally Washburn as an Assistant Coach

WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University has announced the hiring of Ally Washburn as the team's next full-time assistant coach for women's lacrosse, as announced by head coach Lindsey Lutz.

Washburn joins the department from Smith College, where she served as an assistant coach for the previous two seasons. While at Smith, Washburn earned a Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Science.

For her undergraduate program, Washburn attended Berry College and played for the Vikings' women's lacrosse team. For three seasons, she was a part of the team's leadership and was a goalie for the team.

During her time as an assistant coach at Smith, Washburn helped coach the team to 20 wins and two trips to the NEWMAC Tournament. Outside of lacrosse, Washburn helped administratively with SAAC and gameday administration.
