WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University football team is set for a 10-game schedule for the 2026 season, which includes five home games at Glo Fiber Field at Shentel Stadium.

The Hornets begin their 2026 campaign on Friday, September 4, at 6 p.m. at Methodist University. SU has won the last nine meetings against the Monarchs, including a 33-14 win during its last trip to Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The home opener is slated for September 12 at 7 p.m. against Geneva College (Pa.). The Golden Tornadoes and the Hornets first met last year in a 29-28 road victory for Shenandoah. The Hornets scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter of last year's game to secure the victory.

On September 19, Shenandoah travels to Case Western Reserve University for a noon kickoff. This marks the first meeting between the Hornets and Spartans. Case Western Reserve is coming off a 4-5-1 season in 2025.

Homecoming is set for October 3 at 1 p.m., when the Hornets welcome Hampden-Sydney College for the first ODAC game of the season. The Tigers and Hornets are 2-2 against each other over the last four years, with the home team winning each contest.

SU travels to Averett University on October 10 for a 1 p.m. kickoff in Danville, Virginia. Since the Cougars joined the ODAC in 2022, the Hornets are 4-0 against them, including a 48-3 victory last season.

The Roanoke College Maroons make the trip to Winchester for the first time ever on October 17, with kickoff scheduled for noon. The Maroons went 5-4 in their inaugural season last year, with the Hornets earning a 33-20 victory in the first meeting between the programs.

On October 24, the Hornets make their shortest trip of the season when they take on Bridgewater College at 2 p.m. in an ODAC matchup. Shenandoah snapped a three-game losing streak against the Eagles with a 24-21 victory last season.

Shenandoah hosts a 1 p.m. ODAC contest against Randolph-Macon College on Halloween. A fourth-quarter touchdown gave the Yellow Jackets a slim 22-21 victory in their last visit to Winchester in 2024.

The final road game of the regular season sees the Hornets take on Washington and Lee University on November 7 at 1 p.m. The two teams met in last year's regular-season finale, with a missed field goal by the Generals giving Shenandoah hosting rights for the 2025 Cape Henry Bowl Game.

The regular season concludes with the Hornets hosting Guilford College for Senior Day on November 14 at 1 p.m. Shenandoah has won the last seven meetings, dating back to 2018.

This year's Chesapeake Challenge Bowl Games will be hosted by the ODAC in Salem, Virginia, on November 21. Additionally, the ODAC and Salem are hosting this season's NCAA Division III National Championship game.

2026 Shenandoah football tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, August 3. Ticket information and details on purchasing season tickets will be released that day on suhornets.com and across all Shenandoah Athletics social media accounts.
