FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced its 2026 Preseason Poll for football on Tuesday afternoon, with Shenandoah University ranked fourth.

Randolph-Macon College was the unanimous first place team earning all seven possible first-place votes, while Hampden-Sydney College and Washington and Lee University tied for second with 38 points.

Below SU in the rankings are Bridgewater College, Roanoke College, Guilford College, and Averett University.

In 2025, the Hornets finished second in the final conference standings, earning the right to host the Cape Henry Bowl. SU also had nine All-ODAC honorees in 2025 and return five of those players for 2026, including ODAC Rookie of the Year Mekhi Brown.

Shenandoah starts its season on September 4th with a non-conference road game at Methodist.
