Women's Basketball Posts 2026-27 Schedule

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's basketball team announced its 2026-27 season schedule on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hornets, who are coached by 13th-year head coach Melissa Smeltzer-Kraft, play a 25-game schedule with 12 home games. The first home game of the season is the season opener, as the Hornets host Dickinson College on Wednesday, November 11.

Shenandoah then heads on the road for four straight contests, including two at the Lebanon Valley Tournament and the first ODAC game at Randolph-Macon.

The first ODAC home game is on December 5 as the University of Lynchburg travels up to Winchester, followed by a non-conference home game versus Salisbury University. Non-conference battles against the University of Mary Washington, Grove City College, and Hamilton College close out the 2026 calendar year, with the latter two games at home.

The 2027 portion of the schedule begins on January 2 at home versus Elizabethtown College. ODAC road games at Hollins University, Roanoke College, and Washington and Lee University make up the next stretch of games.

Guilford College travels to Winchester for a home game on January 16, which is followed by three more road games at Eastern Mennonite University, Averett University, and Bridgewater College.

The final seven games of the regular season feature rematches with Hollins, Lynchburg, Washington and Lee, Eastern Mennonite, and Roanoke, along with games versus Batten University and Randolph College.

The Hornets are coming off their fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament in eight seasons.
