WINCHESTER, Va. - Old Dominion Athletic Conference powerhouse Randolph-Macon took everything Shenandoah's women's basketball team could throw at it Saturday night and still left the Hornets winless following the 68-66 RMC triumph.
Shenandoah (0-4) kept pace with the Yellow Jackets (5-2) - who appeared in last season's NCAA Tournament - trailing only 35-31 at the half, but ultimately could not shake the turnover bug once again.
Despite the loss, SU looked stronger as a unit than it had in the previous three games. The resurgence could be largely attributed to an emotional boost off the bench from veteran Adina Trammel (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun Co.) who netted nine points and pulled down eight boards in her first appearance since the 2000-01 season.
Sophomore Dee Fisher (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) seemed to benefit the most from the uplifted team spirit as she poured honey all over the Yellow Jackets to the tune of a game high 25 points on 10-for-14 shooting (including four-out-of-five from behind the arc).
Megan Silva led RMC with 23 points on nine-of-18 shooting while Emily Crider of the Yellow Jackets had the game's lone double-double registering 16 points and pulling down 12 boards.

The Hornets will now pack their bags as they prepare for the team trip to Las Vegas, Nev. for the DIII Desert Shootout on Dec. 21st and 22nd. SU faces Maryville (Mo.) in the first round of the tournament.
