FERRUM, Va. - Ferrum College kept its perfect baseball record intact Saturday afternoon with a 12-2 Dixie Conference victory over visiting Shenandoah in both school's conference opener.

FC (13-0, 1-0) erased a 2-0 deficit with a six run sixth inning that broke open the close ballgame. SU starter Seth Foster (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) was charged for all six of the runs (four earned) after giving up four hits and hitting three batters before being pulled with two outs and the bases loaded. 

The Panthers added another six runs one inning later to put to rest any thoughts of a Shenandoah (2-7-1, 0-1) comeback.

Junior Dusty Crostic (Richmond, Va./LC Byrd) was 2 for 4 at the plate for the Hornets.
