ASHLAND, Va. - Shenandoah University had its second best offensive output of the Kathy Orsini era Saturday afternoon, but it was not enough as Randolph Macon took a 98-91 decision in the second round of the RMC/Coca-Cola Shootout.

The 91 Hornet points is bested only by 96 points put up against Averett on February 19, 2000 by an Orsini coached club. SU (0-2) torched the nets for 57 points after the break, but R-MC (2-0) held on for the seven point win.

The Yellow Jackets took a 54-34 lead into the halftime lockerroom as Shenandoah shot just 12 for 31 (38.7 percent) in the first 20 minutes. The Hornets came out in a full court pressure defense in the second, which led to 14 R-MC turnovers and helped the visitors to a 47.5 percent shooting performance.

Sophomore Alicia Sanders (Wardensville, W. Va./East Hardy) backed up her 23 points from Friday night with 21 Saturday to both lead her squad and earn a spot on the all-tournament team. Cassie Womack (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) pulled down a game high 15 rebounds while Joia Davis (Trenton, N.J./Stuart County) and Whitney French (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) added 18 and 16 points, respectively.

Dee Fisher (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) had 12 points before leaving the game with a little over seven minutes to play with an injury. Her status for the next game is unknown at this time.

Megan Silva had a career high 34 points to earn Most Outstanding Player honors for the hosts.
