WINCHESTER, Va. - Eastern Mennonite used a decided height advantage to outlast host Shenandoah 61-48 Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's basketball action.

Shenandoah (1-4) held a 28-27 lead at the break, but EMU (5-0) grabbed 30 of 55 second half rebounds to turn in the 12-point win.

At one point, the Royals held a 10-rebound advantage as they turned a 44-43 SU lead with 9:26 remaining into a 57-46 EMU advantage by the 5:33 mark. The Hornets would cut the deficit to single digits on just one more occasion; Netagia Foreman (Winchester, Va./Sherando) made it 57-48 Eastern Mennonite with 90 seconds left.

EMU center Amanda Renalds led all scorers with 21 points; she was the only visiting player to score in double figures.

Foreman fronted a trio of Shenandoah players in double digits with 16 points - Cassie Womack (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) and Joia Davis (Trenton, N.J./Stuart County) both recorded double-doubles with 12 points and 16 boards and 10 and 11, respectively.

Stephanie Mathews had 12 rebounds for the Lady Royals, who outrebounded SU 57-52.
