WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah's women's lacrosse team was held to single digits for the second straight game as Frostburg State University handed SU a 19-1 loss Wednesday afternoon.
Shenandoah (1-2) fell behind early as the undefeated Bobcats (5-0) opened up an 11-0 halftime advantage and led 13-0 before the Hornets got on the board on a Heather Lethbridge (Belvidere, N.J./Belvidere) goal with 25 minutes remaining.
FSU peppered Hornets' starting goaltender Wendy Taylor (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) all afternoon; the Bobcats had 35 shots in the contest including 23 in the first half of play. Most of the damage was done by Page Macey, who finished with 10 points on seven goals and three assists.
Taylor made 11 saves, but it was not enough as SU only could muster 16 shots of its own.
