WINCHESTER, Va. - Senior Josh Bosley (Oakland, Md./Garrett CC) hit the second of two home runs in with one-out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give host Shenandoah a 5-4 win and a doubleheader sweep of Villa Julie College Wednesday evening at Bridgeforth Field.

After winning game one 4-1, SU (14-12) needed Bosley's walkoff home run to left to gain the sweep over the Mustangs (4-15).

VJC had come back to tie the nightcap in the top of the seventh when rightfielder Brandon Clark doubled home pinch runner Jim Weisman from second base. Clark's shot to left center chased Bosley, who had pitched 3.2 innings of scoreless relief to this point.

Gerry Sasse (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Charter) got the final out of the inning on a fly to center and then earned his fifth win in seven decisions when Bosley knocked the first pitch he saw well over the left-field fence.

The home run, Bosley's second of the game and third of the season, provided a bookend to the Hornets scoring. Bosley tied the game for SU at one in the bottom of the first when he hit a home run to virtually the same spot his game-winning blast landed. He finished the game 3 for 3 with two RBI and three runs scored; no other SU player had more than one hit in the contest.

Sophomore Keith Fritz (Urbana, Md./Frederick CC) threw a complete game four-hitter in game one to improve to 4-2 on the year and give coach Kevin Anderson's club its 10th straight win over non-conference opponents.

After giving up a run on two hits in the first, Fritz shut the Mustangs down the rest of the way. He finished with five strikeouts, retired 10 in a row from the second through fifth innings and allowed just one runner to reach scoring position in throwing his third complete game of the year.

Catcher Steven Todd (Hillsboro, Va./Loudoun Valley) and centerfielder Joe Harpine (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge) both had two hits in three at-bats for the hosts.
