WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University erased a double-digit deficit late in regulation, but ran out of gas in the extra session as Ferrum College escaped with a 95-89 USA South Conference women's basketball victory Wednesday evening.

Down 13 points with 2:44 remaining, Shenandoah scored 12 of the game's next 14 points to tie the contest at 80 with 22 seconds left. SophomoreÂ
Alicia Sanders, who had a career high 38 points, tied the game with her sixth three-pointer after racing down the floor on a missed FC free throw.
SU had two more possessions in regulation, but turned it over at the five second mark and missed its shot at the buzzer.
Senior Tara Toland, the USA South Conference Player of the Week this week, led the visitors with 30 points while Angela Von Wergers added 18 to go along with a game high 23 rebounds.
The Lady Panthers took 100 shots from the floor and pulled down 67 rebounds - they also had 42 of their points from the paint and 32 on second chances.
The two teams traded the lead six times and were tied on others, the last at the start of overtime.
Five players, three from Ferrum and two from Shenandoah, registered double-doubles with Sanders just missed one at 38 points and nine rebounds. Aline Alizme backed up Van Worgers performance with 15 points and 17 boards of her own.
Cassie Womack matched her career high with 19 rebounds on a night in which she also hit for 15 points. Foreman just missed the first triple-double in SU women's basketball history with 14 points, 11 rebounds and a career high tying eight assists.
