FROSTBURG, Md. - Shenandoah University outshot host Frostburg State Thursday afternoon, but the Bobcats used a strong first half to fuel a 14-9 non-conference women's lacrosse victory over the Hornets.
Shenandoah (4-2) saw its three-game winning streak snapped with the loss to the Bobcats (4-1).
FSU took a 5-0 lead in the game before the Hornets were finally able to find the scoreboard at the 22:37 mark of the first on an unassisted goal byÂ
Lauren Carpinello. SU played its hosts even from there, but the damage was done as the Bobcats maintained at least a three-goal lead the rest of the way.
