CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Shenandoah University wasted little time in getting its first volleyball victory of the 2005 season - the Hornets swept host Wilson 30-6, 30-9, 30-7 Thursday evening in non-league action.
Shenandoah (1-0) hit a team record .512 in the match with 27 kills and just five errors in 43 attempts. Coach Sarah Pelster's squad also had a program record 36 service aces.

Jennifer Thompson led the offensive onslaught with six kills in six attempts while also adding nine service aces. ClassmateÂ

Ashley Ballentine led the defense with four digs.
