RADFORD, Va. E Division I Radford University kept its all-time record against lower division opponents perfect with a 94-63 victory over visiting Shenandoah Saturday night.
SU (2-3) struggled against the bigger Highlanders (5-6); the Hornets committed 28 turnovers in the contest and had eight shots blocked against the Big South Conference school.
After playing with its hosts for the first couple of minutes, Shenandoah saw its hosts go on a 17-2 run from the 16:47 to 8:13 marks to take a commanding 24-8 lead. RU would see this lead remain in double digits the rest of the way.
The Highlanders took a 42-23 lead into the half and eventually extended this advantage to as many as 31 points before both teams began to substitute liberally midway through the second. SU did cut the deficit to 21 points with 4:49 remaining before its hosts ended the game on a 17-7 run.
Radford shot an even percent (34 for 68) for the game to the Hornetsí 38.2 percent (27 of 69) and grabbed 44 of the contestís 82 rebounds.

Jeremiah Lawrence had 16 points apiece for Shenandoah with Onunakuís 11 rebounds giving him a fourth double-double in five games this season. CoachÂ
Robert Harris played all 15 of his healthy players in the game.
Chris Oliver had 22 and Kenny Thomas 21 for the Highlanders.

SU is off for the next six days for final exams and hosts Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in a non-conference contest. This will be the Hornets final home game of the fall semester.
