WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University ran its women's lacrosse winning streak to three games Monday afternoon with a 14-4 non-league win over visiting Bridgewater College.

The victory is also the fourth straight for the Hornets (4-6) over the Eagles (2-7).

Both teams split their goal totals equally around the halftime - SU six of the first seven goals of the game before the two teams traded one tally each in the final 3:47 of the first.

All but one of the Hornets goals in the first half were of the assisted variety as four different women got into the scoring column. Juniors Joia Davis and Kelly Matagiese did most of the damage with two goals and two assists and three assists, respectively.

Coach Lois Bowers' club opened the second half with the first four goals before BC got an Anne Fisher goal at the 18:25 mark. This made the score 11-3 and represented the closest that the Eagles would come to their hosts the rest of the way.

Davis finished the day with three goals and three assists, Matagiese had two goals and four assists and Erika Bradd three goals. Lindsay Synder led the visitors with two goals.

Shenandoah outshot Bridgewater 36-18 and scooped up 21 of the game's 38 groundballs. Davis had a game-high five groundballs.
