LYNCHBURG, Va. - Lynchburg College gave away a six-run lead, but rallied for a 10-8 non-league win over visiting Shenandoah Wednesday afternoon to win the battle of the Hornets.
The LC Hornets (7-3) scored five runs in the first and one more in the second, but saw the SU Hornets (9-3) roar back with a seven-run third.
Lynchburg tied the game with a single run in the fourth, retook the advantage with another in the sixth and plated the winning and insurance runs in the seventh.

Ryan Anderson led Shenandoah offensively with a 2-for-3 day that included an RBI while freshman catcherÂ
Scott Lambert was 1-for-3 with three RBI. He keyed that seven-run third with a three-run double down the right field line.
Josh Walker, Lucas Jones and Steven Scott all had two hits for the hosts. Reliever Evan Durrer, who came on for starter Brandon Weaver with two outs in the third, earned the win with 4.1 innings of relief. He gave up one run on four hits while striking out four.
