Junior Daniel Bowershad the game-winning RBI when he drew a bases loaded walk off of Panthers reliever Jimmy Holm (3-3) to score Ryan Anderson. Ryan Anderson had led off the frame with a single to left.

Eight of the nine Hornets starters got at least one hit and all eight drove in at least one run. David Jenkins , Daniel Ziccardy and Adam Kuchemba, the first three hitters in the SU lineup, all had two hits and two RBI.

Kuchemba also bailed the Hornets out of a jam in the bottom of the ninth inning when he threw out Brent Sowers at second base attempting to steal. Sowers had reached with the potential winning run when first baseman Adam Duckett couldn't pick up his two-out slow roller.

Senior Nick Sborz, who worked the final 1.1 innings, earned the win. He allowed one run on one hit to improve to 3-0 this spring.
