BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College used a six-run fourth inning to key a 13-6 non-league baseball win over visiting Shenandoah University Tuesday afternoon.

Shenandoah (24-16) took a 6-3 lead after scoring five runs in the third, but BC (23-9-1) scored six in the fourth to take a lead it would not relinquish. The Eagles padded this advantage with three more in the fifth and a final run in the eighth.

The Hornets scored those five runs in the third on three hits and one Bridgewater error. Sophomore Sam Fullerton capped this outburst with a two-out that plated Scott Lambert, Adam Kuchemba and Daniel Ziccardy. Those three had reached on a walk, a hit by pitch and an outfield error, respectively.

Sophomore Hunter Calloway (2-3) took the loss after allowing five runs on five hits and two walks in 1.1 innings. Calloway came on in relief of starter Taylor DuFrene five batters into the fourth.

Scott Disch led the visitors with two hits in four at-bats.
