WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Mary Baldwin College finished off a season sweep over Shenandoah University with a 3-1 (30-22, 31-29, 17-30, 30-27) USA South Conference volleyball victory Wednesday night.
Shenandoah (8-17, 1-12 USA South) was looking for its second conference victory in the last three matches, but MBC (5-23, 3-10) had other ideas.
The Squirrels earned the victory by holding the lead throughout game one, staging a comeback in game two and then outlasting SU in game four.
The Hornets had biggest victory of the match with a 13-point win in game four - SU led for all but the first point of the game and finished it with an 11-3 run.
Colena Roberts led MBC with a game-high 22 kills while Kim Clum had 41 assists.

Jennifer Thompson, playing before their families on Senior Night, both posted triple-doubles for the hosts. Thompson had 17 kills, 11 assists and 20 digs with Chandler adding 10, 25 and 14.
