BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College doubled up visiting Shenandoah University in the first half on its way to a 14-11 non-league women's lacrosse victory Thursday afternoon.

The Eagles (4-4) saw Shenandoah (3-7) score the first four goals of the contest but seized control with a 9-0 run from the 22:01 to :31 second marks of the first half.

Arissa Malick finally snapped this string with an unassisted goal 12 seconds before halftime and the two teams remained within four goals the rest of the way.

A 4-0 run that culminated with a Malick unassisted goal at 13:06 tied it at 10-10, but BC clinched the victory with a 4-1 run to finish.

Malick led the Hornets with four goals and one assist while Kelly Matagiese had two goals and four assists. Matagiese' second goal, at 23:26 of the first, made her the all-time leading goal scorer in school history. Her 152 career goals breaks the mark of 151 previously held by Deanna Estes '98.
