WAYNESBURG, Pa. - Shenandoah University recorded its fifth doubleheader baseball sweep of the 2007 season Monday afternoon with 15-12 and 13-0 wins at Waynesburg College.

Senior Ryan Anderson led SU (24-14) to the sweep with a combined six hits and six RBI in the victories over the Yellow Jackets (14-14).

In game one, Waynesburg jumped out to a 6-1 lead after one inning, but saw the Hornets score eight runs in the third. Shenandoah led the rest of the way, but had to hold on as WC scored twice in the fourth and two more in the fifth to get within one run.

Coach Kevin Anderson's club then pushed across two runs in the sixth and one more in the seventh to clinch the victory.

Freshman Scott Van Dusseldorp, who started the game at first base, earned the win on the mound with 4.2 innings of relief. Van Dusseldorp (2-0) allowed five runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out four.

Senior David Jenkins , the starting shortstop, got the final out of the game from the mound to earn the save in his first pitching appearance since his freshman year.

Ryan Anderson and Van Dusseldorp were both 3-for-4 with Jenkins adding two hits and an RBI in four at-bats.

Game two went much smoother as freshman Daniel Eadie (4-0) scattered six hits and one walk against three strikeouts in the complete game victory.

Eadie was staked to a 2-0 lead before taking the mound, and the offense gave him two runs in the fourth and fifth before breaking it open with a six-run sixth.

Ryan Anderson did most of the damage offensively - he was 3-for-4 with five RBI on a double, two singles and a sacrifice fly.
