SWEET BRIAR, Va. - Host Sweet Briar scored a pair of second half goals Saturday afternoon to propel itself to a 3-2 non-league field hockey win over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
The Vixens (2-4) broke open a tie game with goals in the 48th and 57th minutes to provide the winning margin over the Hornets (0-4).
Shenandoah had tied it on a 
Meggie Dutill goal just six seconds before the end of the first half, but could not pull ahead.
The Hornets final goal came on a 
Lindsay Collison tally in the 67th minute.
