WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University continued its winning ways Thursday afternoon with a 22-11 non-league baseball victory over Bridgewater College.

The Hornets (13-1) have now run their winning streak to 11 by finishing off the season sweep of the Eagles (4-5).

The two teams combined for 27 hits and scored 22 of the game's 33 runs in the first three innings.

In a nine-out stretch beginning in the bottom of the second, the two teams sent a total of 32 men to the plate as SU turned a 2-2 game into a 15-7 advantage.

Each team also went through three pitchers during this span - Shenandoah freshman Bryce Sears (3-0), who got the final out of the third, earned the win with 5.0 innings of relief. Sears was solid until tiring in the eighth; he allowed all four of the runs and four of the six hits he was charged with in that frame.

BC starter John Sinclair (1-1) was tagged with the loss after allowing nine runs on seven hits in 2.0 innings. He was yanked after allowing a lead off home run by Jasen Eberz to start the third.

Junior Jesse Henry led the Hornets at the plate with a 4 for 4 day that included a single, double and home run as well as five RBI. Eberz matched Henry by just missing the cycle; he also needed a triple but drove in three runs with the solo HR and a two-run double.

Greg Van Sickler drove in five with a three-run double, being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and a seventh-inning groundout.
