WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Methodist University finished off a USA South Conference baseball sweep of Shenandoah University with a 25-4 win Sunday afternoon at Bridgeforth Field.
The Monarchs (9-5, 2-0 USA South) made quick work of it by scoring seven runs in the first inning and then never looked back against the Hornets (13-3, 0-2).

Kevin Anderson turned to his bullpen.
Eventually, eight pitchers would take the mound for Anderson with none of them lasting longer than 1.2 innings.
The Monarchs pounded out 23 hits off of these eight pitchers as all nine starters got at least one hit and seven of the nine had at least one extra base hit.
MU hit six home runs in the seven inning contest, including three in a row to lead off the fourth.
Three of the Hornets four runs also came via the long ball.
Kevin Brashears got the hosts on the board with a solo home run in the third before Tucker Brown put a cap on the day's scoring with a two-run blast in the bottom of the seventh.
Those two dingers were two of four hits that Monarchs starter Ryan Fasano (2-0) allowed on the day. He struck out five and walked one as he went the distance for the victory.
Brian Inghram and Brad Davis each had four hits for the victors with Davis hitting a two-run HR in the fourth and a grand slam in the seventh. He ended the day with seven RBI.
