STEVENSON, Md. - Host Stevenson University sent the Shenandoah
University men's tennis team down to its second loss of the weekend
with a 6-3 non-league win Sunday afternoon.
The Mustangs (2-3) took a 2-1 lead after doubles by winning
at Nos. 1 and 3 before clinching the win with victories at
three through six singles.
Sophomore Michael Milanov was
a double winner for SU (2-5). Milanov teamed with Tim Lutz to defeat Kevin
Stamm and Randy Speck 9-7 at No. 2 doubles before Milanov took out
Ted Cooke, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
Julian
Fehr was the Hornets other winner. He was a 6-1, 6-0
victor at No. 2.
The SU men are back in action on Wednesday with a USA South
Conference match at Ferrum. This match is a doubleheader with the
Hornet women.
