SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. - Sophomore Michael Milanov won a pair of
matches Friday afternoon for the Hornets, but it was not enough in
a non-conference match against Division II Shepherd.
Milanov combined with Julian Fehr to win 8-4 at No. 1 doubles
before taking out Taylor Boyle 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 in the top singles
match.
The remaining matches for the Hornets (2-10) went in straight
sets.
Shepherd (3-14) won Nos. 2 and 3 doubles at 2 and 5,
respectively, and clinched by winning the bottom four singles
matches by dropping a combined 13 games. Eight of that total came
at No. 5, where Anthony Horkan battled to a 7-6, 6-2 loss.
Shenandoah completes USA South Conference play on Saturday with
a 1:00 match against Averett.
