BURLINGTON, N.C. - No. 2 Christopher Newport University ended the Shenandoah University men's tennis season with a 9-0 victory over the Hornets in the USA South Conference Tournament quarterfinals Friday afternoon.

The Captains (11-9) took a 3-0 lead after doubles while dropping a total of just two games.

In singles, CNU clinched the victory with wins at Nos. 5 and 6.

The closest match came at No. 2, where Vladimir Daskalov fell 6-2, 6-2 to Kyle Tobin.
