WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team completed its season Wednesday afternoon with a 7-2 ODAC victory over visiting Lynchburg College.
Shenandoah (5-11, 2-8 ODAC) took a 2-1 lead after the doubles portion of the match thanks to victories at Nos. 1 and 3.
Lynchburg (4-11, 1-9) kept itself in it by winning 9-7 at No. 2.
SU then swept all but the No. 4 singles contest to clinch the victory.
Senior Michael Milanov, playing in his final collegiate meet, was a double winner.
He combined with Steven Baker to win 8-0 at No. 1 doubles and then took out Matt Karvelas 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
Baker had the clinching victory, winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2.
Jeremy Parel won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3, Will Leach 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 and Zach O'Neal 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6.
Leach and Parel had the 8-2 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Shenandoah won its final two matches of the season.
