Men's Tennis Wraps Season

BUENA VISTA, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team completed its 2014 spring season Thursday with an 8-1 non-league loss to Southern Virginia.

SVU (11-8) won all but at No. 1 singles to take the match against Shenandoah (3-11).

Sophomore Steven Baker won that match for SU, winning 6-3, 7-5 over Pradeep Ravisankar in the top singles match.

The remaining three singles and two doubles matches went to the Knights in straight sets.

The doubles matches were very close with Southern Virginia winning 9-7 at No. 1 and 8-6 at No. 2.

The Hornets will announce their 2014-15 schedule in June.
