WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team opened its fall season Saturday afternoon by hosting its own invitational.

Playing a flighted tournament with Franklin & Marshall as well as ODAC rivals Bridgewater and Roanoke, the teams played two singles matches Saturday afternoon following a long rain delay in the morning.

The teams were also scheduled to play one doubles match as well, but those matches were postponed due to the rain delay.

Zach O'Neal, Jesse Ewing and Vladimir Daskalov all had wins for the Hornets.

O'Neal was a 6-7 (5), 7-6 (6), 6-3 winner at No. 5, Ewing 6-1, 6-2 at No. 7 and Daskalov 6-0, 6-0 at No. 8.

The tournament concludes Sunday.
