WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Earlham College rallied from a one-match deficit to earn a 5-4 non-conference men's tennis victory over Shenandoah Thursday afternoon.
Shenandoah (3-5) took a 2-1 lead following the doubles portion of the match thanks to 9-7 and 8-2 wins at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, but saw the Quakers (3-6) sweep the top four singles matches to steal the victory.
Kelly Sykes and Blake Sharp were 9-7 winners in that No. 2 doubles match with Zach O'Neal and Matt Hwang winning 8-2 at No. 3.
O'Neal completed his two-win day with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.
The final win came at No. 5 singles where Will Leach defeated Adam Schwartz 6-3, 6-2.
SU takes to the road Saturday for an ODAC match at Roanoke.
