Men's Tennis Completes ITA Play

FREDERICKBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team completed three days of play at the ITA Southeast Regionals Sunday.

The Hornets had four doubles matches in the morning and two singles matches in the afternoon.

SU went 1-3 in those four doubles matches with Kyler Apgar and Bryan Harris recording an 8-3 win over Jacob Bartolow and Ronald Stith from St. Mary's (Md.) in the consolation quarterfinals.

Apgar and Harris then fell 8-1 to Grayson Burns and Andrew Donelson from Hampden-Sydney in the semi-final round.

Evan Rosenberg and Matt Hwang both had the two singles matches, with Rosenberg falling 6-2, 6-1 to Shane Barry from Randolph-Macon and Hwang 6-2, 4-6, 0-1 (7-10) to Luke Sabilik from Lynchburg.

The team concludes its fall season on October 21 by hosting a USTA Open Tournament.
